Neal fell in love with this mural when we travelled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for Sylvia and Joe's destination wedding! They had a ceremony at a very old church in the heart of the city, Our Lady of Guadalupe. The ceremony with in both Spanish and English! Then we walked around the area for photos. The reception was at the NOW Amber Resort on the beach.
We did multiple day shoots for the bride and groom. We had to if we were flying all that way. The wedding day was not enough! This was the day after. You can see Sylvia had her wedding dress on, but did not have her hair up. She went a bit more laid back. We loved it for the post bridal session.
The bride and groom had a few locations picked out they wanted to go to. Sylvia grew up there, so she was also the tour guide. We pretty much parked in one spot and waked all over.
Neal saw this mural and wanted Sylvia for a bridal portrait. We thought it would be so fun. We had Sylvia pick up her wedding dress and look down toward it. We wanted a fashion magazine style pose for this idea.
Neal decided to turn he image black and white. I think it was such a great idea. It pulled so much detail out of the image. You can see so many details in the bride's dress. Then you can distinctively see all the little squares in the painting. The artist did an amazing job and this back drop went beautiful with this stunning bride!
