End of the night portraits can be so exciting. Neal Urban Weddings photographed Kristin and Tads wedding in Ellicottville NY. They had everything at the Holiday Valley Lodge. That meant, getting ready, first look, ceremony, wedding party, family portraits, bride and groom, and reception.
During the reception, the DJ had a smoke machine going. This was the perfect time to take advantage of a shot. All the bride and groom needed to do was continue dancing. They had no idea what Neal's plan was. They only saw him set up some lights behind them. Fog or smoke machines create such dramatic and fun images. We never know what kind of patterns or details the smoke will give us.
Neal Urban Photography did something similar to this for Kristin and Tads engagement session. Well not this pose, but effect wise. They had their portraits done in the winter at Chestnut Ridge State Park. It was covered in snow and so beautiful. When getting ready to wrap up the session, it started to snow. We put the bride and groom to be on a little snow bank and put a light behind them. All of the falling snow lit up all around them. It was magical. Neal Urban loved how we were able to tie in something similar with the wedding!
