We love cherry blossom trees for photos. The hard part is they only bloom for a short time and with Buffalo's crazy weather the time can always change.
Luckily for Kristine and Dave's engagement session, they were in full bloom. The funny part about this, was that they didn't even mention anything about the cherry blossoms. We started their photos at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo. People are in shock when we say that's the location we went to. Forest Lawn is gorgeous. There are tours every Sunday. There are so many locations that can be used for photos and you would never know we were in a cemetery.
This was one of those spots. We were walking around with the couple just stopping and taking photos along the way, when we saw these trees in the distance. We told the lovely couple we wanted to take a quick detour and head that way. We did not know at first the trees were cherry blossoms. We just knew they were beautiful and we had to use them in photos.
We had Kristine and Dave stand right in the middle of a cluster of trees. They were surrounded. We pulled one of the branches slightly down to create a frame to put the couple in. The flowers were so pretty in the foreground and flowed directly into the entire image.
This bride and groom to be had the perfect outfits as well. The colors were subtle and worked so well here. We loved how Kristine's navy dress added a hint of color. It was just enough to help her and Dave not get lost in the image.
This image was such a lovely surprise and so beautiful. Dave and Kristine are very good friends of ours and we were honored to be a part of their wedding. Dave is the owner of LaNasa Studios. He does stunning videography. Mostly for weddings, so we do work with him all the time. Another little fact, we flew him to Napa, CA to video our wedding. He captured so many memories for us, now it was our turn to return the favor!
The wedding was amazing as well! It was at Brookfield Country Club in Clarence, NY! We got even more amazing images that day!
