Nina and Vinny wanted to have their engagement session done inside the Old Fort at Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown, NY. We love going there for portrait sessions!
Nina sent over the outfits her and her fiance were going to be wearing. She wanted to go super dressy for this part. We love it! Vinny had on a nice suit and she wore a bold red dress. They both looked stunning!
Our plan was to walk around the Fort. It is not that big. We knew the key locations we wanted to shoot at, but wanted to get as much as we could! This was done along one of the stone walls along a set of stairs. Neal decided to have the couple stand at the bottom of the stairs and he was going to take the photo from on the stairs. To be honest, I was not sure what kind of angle he was going for at the time.
We loved the image! Nina was pressed up against the wall and Vinny was going in for a whisper in her ear. We had Nina turn her head toward us to see more of her reaction. Then she closed her eyes. They look so romantic. Nobody would know they were in the middle of battle grounds.
After this part of the shoot, they changed into more casual clothing and we did photos around the park and by the water!
On the wedding day we did photos at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo. Then the reception at Antonio's Banquet and Conference Center in Niagara Falls!
