Bridal portraits are very important (as well as groom portraits). We love to get artistic if we can as well.
Jenna and Artie got married at Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna, NY. This church is amazing. It rivals churches in Italy. It is so pretty, that it can take up to two years to book your wedding there.
Right after the ceremony, the bride and groom wanted to stay at the church, both inside and out, as long as possible. We worked with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, then sent them to the limo to party. We wanted to grab a few shots of just the happy couple!
Jenna is stunning in this image. We loved all the details from her dress, to earrings, and then the head piece she was wearing. Her make up looked flawless!
We were doing some images with her veil when we thought of something like this. Neal was shooting from beneath her veil and wanted to try something different. I was holding her veil as Neal was shooting. I brought it down with just enough to cover the top of her head. It started to created little pockets and gave definition to the veil. Then we had the bride look toward the camera. As she did, she gave us this amazing look. Jenna looked so mysterious with those eyes. Then she has a little smile.
The back ground is part of the Basilica. There was nothing too crazy going on either. We wanted Jenna to stand out. You can see some columns and a few trees, but they are blow out a little.
From here, we went to Buffalo City Hall and Niagara Square. The reception was at the Statler in downtown Buffalo.
