Christmas sessions at Neal Urban Studio for 2017! We design a christmas set every year for photos.We do a huge toy drive as well. "Photos for Toys!' Families receive a discounted session with a toy donation. All donations go to the Cradle Beach Organization in Derby, NY.
For this year, we built Santa's Workshop. We wanted an interactive set. This was a first for us. We did not want a simple smile for the camera. We had a second set for that style of image. We wanted kids interacting with the toys and Santa. So much time went into this set! We built it all from scratch. We went to antique stores all over western NY to find vintage toys and props. We also had to find the perfect Santa to fit the workshop. And we sure did! He even showed up in his building toy attire!
These two littles were so cute in this image! She was not shy at all! We asked the families to make sure the kids brought their christmas list to give to Santa as well! This little girl not only gave Santa her list, but did not hesitate to tell him everything on her list when she met him! They were having a full on out conversation. It was so cute and we could not stop laughing! Her little brother is hanging out below Santa. He got ahold of the naughty and nice list! Look at his cute little bow tie and vest!
As most people know, we mainly photograph weddings. We do as many other sessions as we can when our schedule allows. Christmas is the only time of year we block off a lot of time for our annual "Photos for Toys." We started out with a simple small set and only about fifteen families. By this set, we started building in August. We started booking in October and had over one hundred families scheduled. We enjoy these sessions so much and are always coming up with new ideas. We always want to give back to the community and Cradle Beach was the perfect organization to work with!
