High school senior portraits have evolved over the years. As has Neal Urban Photography. We have a new studio located just North of Buffalo, and our style has changed. We have upped the game on dramatic images. When contacted for this senior session, who was really into swimming, we needed to come up with something different. A fellow swimmer had come to us and we did not want to take the same type of photos. When booking with Neal Urban Portraits, every client should have a different experience and "stand out" photos. That was our goal for this senior session.
Some senior portrait sessions start inside of Neal Urban Portrait Studio. Then we sometimes head outside for a little contrast if the location is close by. Original plan was to try and get into a standard competitive swimming pool, but access was not available at the time. We still had to incorporate water. Why not use a simple outdoor hose to create the effect of rain! This varsity senior was such a trooper. It was cold out and he was going to get zapped in the back with water. Add in some dramatic lighting and this was the final product!
Senior portraits should reflect the student and their interests. Not what the trends may be at the time. We spend time chatting with each graduate or parent. We want to know their hobbies and what really interests them.This is one of the first steps before even booking a senior session with Neal Urban Portrait Studio. Then we need to bring all of that to life!
