This was the cutest little girl for our annual Christmas Sessions in 2017 at Neal Urban Studio. We had two sets that year. We built Santa's Workshop. That was an interactive set with Santa, where the kids could help build toys. Then we had this set with the gold frames on the wall. We borrowed these chairs from our friends at Salvatore's Italian Gardens. This set was a bit more formal and smile for the camera.
This little girl did just that. After visiting with Santa with that cute smile and laugh, we came over to the giant "princess" chair for her. Mom put her down in the chair and her immediate reaction was this. She was so cute and happy! Look at that little pom pomp pony tail on her head! She is even doing a little wave at the camera. For being so young and in photos solo, she was amazing! The family did bring their huge dogs and we brought them in and out of the photos. They did so good with the little girl too!
We go all out for our annual Christmas sessions. We do a huge "Photos for Toys" toy drive, where you get a discounted photo session with the donation of a new and unwrapped toy. The donations all go to the Cradle Beach Organization in Derby, NY. The toys are then dispersed to families in need in Western NY. They do not ship them out to other States. That was one reason we got into talks with them. We wanted everything to stay local.
Our main type of photography is Wedding Photography. We try to fit in as many other types of sessions when our schedule allows. Christmas is the only time of year we block off almost a whole month for these sessions. All our sets (so far) have been built by us and contained many antique pieces. We try to keep everything as real as possible. Every year we come up with new ideas and "Photos for Toys" grows. We started off with around fifteen to twenty families and have grown to over one hundred families attending! What will next year bring!
