Christina looks like a goddess in this red dress and head piece for her maternity session. She contacted Neal Urban Portraits a few months before about her maternity session. She told us she wanted drama and somewhat of a whimsical style session. Before the maternity session, Neal Urban Studio had her send over some images of her inspiration. All of them had beautiful crowns/head pieces. We had to make sure she had one of those. When she showed up to Neal Urban Studio with one, it was even more beautiful than the photos she sent.
This mommy to be decided to do a solo session without dad. She was going to surprise him with prints of the session! Christina had a very fierce vibe about her. For this image it went really well! Her pose facing forward looks like she means business. I wouldn't want to mess with this expecting mama. Studio lighting needed to be spot on for this part of the session. Any posing Neal Urban asked for, Christina nailed.
After photographing a few outfits in Neal Urban Studio, we all headed to Bond Lake State Park for some winter photos. Western NY just got hit with about three feet of snow (in a day and half), so we had to find somewhere that was plowed and accessible to stand in the snow. Bond Lake had just a small opening that would be perfect for this quick part of the shoot.
After the images were complete, Neal Urban Photography designed a beautiful custom photo box for Christina's maternity session. Such a great idea, as the box contains loose matted prints. She could give them away as gifts, pop them in frames to hang on the wall, or keep in the box to display!
