Jocelyn is such a beautiful dancer. Neal Urban Photography had the pleasure of having her as part of our Abandon Theater Dancer Sessions at Fort Niagara State Park. She then booked Neal Urban Portraits for a part 2 at Neal Urban Studio in Buffalo NY. A lot of our older dancers need portfolios to show to colleges and for college applications. She was going to be applying to a few different colleges. This dancer was visiting Rutgers College a few months after the sessions to pursue dancing.
Neal Urban Photography had so much fun with this dancer and her mom. Jocelyn had such fun outfits for both theater and studio sessions. Having the Neal Urban Studio session slowed things down and enabled Jocelyn to have multiple outfit changes and style. For one part of the dance session, Neal Urban used the giant round ring light he created. Jocelyn did more basic poses with a fashion magazine vibe with sunglasses and accessories.
This dancer did not want to have all her photos with standard dance attire (leotards, flowing skirt, etc). She brought some basic casual, but moveable outfits. She had comfy and baggy pants that were so different. They also allowed Jocelyn to play around with some fun dance moves! Neal Urban Photography also liked this outfit and back drop for another head shot, not so dance related.
Neal Urban Photography created a beautiful custom album for this dancer. It included her photos from both of the sessions and told a great story of her dance journey.
