A dancer stands alone in the vast, open field, her silhouette framed by the golden light of the setting sun. The soft breeze whispers through the grass as she moves, her body flowing with the rhythm of the earth beneath her feet. Each graceful step is a conversation between her and nature, her arms reaching out as if to embrace the sky. The world around her is still, yet she is alive with motion, her spirit in sync with the freedom of the open space. Her movements are fluid, effortless, as if the earth itself is guiding her, and for that brief moment, she becomes one with the land—free, wild, and beautifully untamed.
Neal Urban Photography loves photographing dancers, especially young dancers. Neal Urban studio is able to capture their dance journey and they get older and progress and learn more. Neal Urban Photography wanted to photograph this young dancer at Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown NY. She does all types of dance, but Neal Urban wanted to capture her ballet style. She had recently began her pointe shoe ballet journey. Mom told Neal Urban Photography the extent of what moves she would be able to do, ask her muscles were still adapting to the pointe!
Neal Urban Studio made sure the day of Lily's session, the sun was out. Neal Urban wanted this ballerina in golden wispy fields. Mom and dad were stopping thrilled to be there for the session as well as Lily's younger sister who also started to take dance lessons. Danielle Urban wanted Lily in a white leotard and flowing skirt. This would compliment the graceful and carefree style of dance in the fields with greenery in the back drop. Danielle Urban also wanted this dancer to throw some movement into her skirt as she dance. Another little challenge, but made for beautiful photos.
Mom would also book a session for the Abandon Theater Sessions that Neal Urban was photographing a few months later. Lily's younger sister would be a part of that and would also dance with her sister. Both girls attend Janet Dunstan Dance in Lewiston NY. Neal Urban Photography designed a gorgeous custom album of the sisters for the Abandon Theater Session. Also a beautiful large wall art print for mom and dad to hang in their home!
