Neal Urban Portraits loves oval framed prints. The image has to be just right for it to work. This little girl is a great example! There is just enough blank space around her to keep her centered. Neal Urban chose a dark matte/frame to match the black legs of the chair as well as the stand the house plant is in. The girls pink dress looks really good with the gold mirror and lamp. The size of the print also looks great with the small circular mirror.
Neal Urban Studio has done multiple photo sessions with this family. Neal Urban Weddings started off with engagement portraits, then wedding day images. Two little girls later, this family traveled from Rochester to visit Neal Urban Photography for family portraits. They had already done outdoor family pictures and wanted something more formal.
Outfits were emailed over for Neal Urban Portraits to look at and see what worked best for the style. The little girls had matching dresses and looked so cute. Mom and dad told us this little girl was very adventurous. Neal Urban threw out the idea of posing her on a ladder. After this, all of her photos had to have the ladder.
The colors, the dress, the pearls, paired with the dark back drop, were gorgeous. Playing her favorite music in the studio also helped to get smiles and laughs. It always helps to start with the group family portraits and then break off for solos of the children. This helps for the kids to get a bit more comfortable.
Neal Urban Collections also designed a photo box and large print of the whole family. The family has photo walls in almost every room!
