Welcome to the week of Vivian and Eric’s wedding. There were so many amazing images, Neal Urban is devoting a few days to tell their story. Neal Urban Weddings traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for this destination wedding. This would be the second time we have been to an area of Mexico to photograph a wedding. The first time took Neal Urban Portraits to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the NOW Amber Resort for Eric’s sisters wedding. Before arriving, Neal Urban Studio had multiple Zoom chats with the bride and groom and their wedding planners from Momentos Weddings and Events Cabo San Lucas. There were so many details that needed to be covered before even boarding the plane.
Vivian and Eric’s wedding event took place at the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf Resort and Spa. It was gorgeous. The resort is built into a mountain. The views are stunning. Let’s start with the getting ready portraits. Neal Urban Studio had to get to the bride and groom’s hotel rooms via golf cart, they were so high up in the mountain. That was fun! We started with Eric and his groomsmen. They had a huge hotel suite. There were so many emotional moments. The grooms father had passed away so we knew it was going to be hard on the family. His brothers were groomsmen and played a huge part in the wedding day. Dad had left his wedding ring to the oldest son. The rest of the brothers agreed that it should be given to Eric on his big day. They presented him with the ring that morning. Then mom came in to see him. Let the tears start flowing again. Neal Urban remembered how wonderful mom photographed. She was so genuine and had such intimate moments with Eric. It was hard not to cry (but happy tears).
Time for more tears with the bride getting ready! Vivian was a stunning bride. She was so easy to photograph as well. She was just enjoying every moment, especially with her bridesmaids. After Neal Urban Photography finished up with details (wedding dress, shoes, bouquet, jewelry, invitation), it was time for the bride to put her wedding dress on. Her mom and two sisters helped her get ready. This is where the tears came. Mom was trying her hardest to hold it together. Neal Urban Studio kept reminding her these moments are part of the day and it’s ok to cry. Your daughter is getting married! After Vivian was completely dressed, we asked mom and sisters to head over to the other room so we could get some bridal portraits of the bride. Amazing light was coming in and her dress just lit up! She was gorgeous!
You can see that Neal Urban Weddings did similar getting ready photos of both the bride and groom. You will see each of them outside, standing in an open window. That was something that Neal Urban noticed when we visited the guys first. How cool would it be for each of them to have a similar portrait. So many great images and this was just the first part of the wedding day. Keep reading for Vivian and Eric’s first look portraits and some with the wedding party!
