Vivian and Eric had the most beautiful location for their wedding. Neal Urban Weddings traveled to destination Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! Everything was to take place at the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf Resort and Spa. It was spectacular. The resort was built into the side of a mountain. People always wonder how does Neal Urban Photography get these weddings in different countries? Word of mouth and social media! Also, a few years earlier, we had the pleasure of photographing Eric’s sisters wedding, also in Mexico. That took place in Puerto Vallarta, at the NOW Amber Resort. Another gorgeous resort. Ceremony was at the Church of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, located right in the heart of Puerto Vallarta!
It was so exciting, when Eric contacted Neal Urban Studio for his wedding! It was so nice to see all of the family again as well! Back to rehearsal day! The bride and groom had the rehearsal right on the beach. After going over the brief rundown of ceremony details, Neal Urban Portraits took Vivian and Eric for a small photoshoot before the rest of the family came down for the dinner. We had already planned out where we wanted to do the photos, as we wanted to keep the bride and groom close to their event. Luckily there were huge rocks all along the beach to take advantage of. Neal Urban also had this crazy idea for the couple to outrun a wave! You can see by the expressions on their faces, they had so much fun with it. Nobody got too wet either. It was about 85 degrees out, so drying off was pretty quick. Then as the sun started to set, Neal Urban Photography played around with some silhouette images. Then to end off the photoshoot, we placed them in between two giant palm trees. We were also able to get family portraits, as well as a group shot of all of the guests!
Having couples who loves Neal Urban Portrait’s crazy ideas makes us feel so good! Traveling is not always easy. Time limits are always an issue, so trying to map everything with the bride and groom in advance is so helpful. As the family and friends started to filter down for the party, Neal Urban Weddings went into photo journalistic mode. Some of the family/friends hadn’t seen each other in so long, so it felt like a family reunion. We even got hugs from the family! The resort did a phenomenal job on the buffet. So many different kinds of tacos! We were in heaven!
Vivian and Eric did a great welcome speech to all of the guests. Then they opened up the mic for anyone who wanted to speak. Almost everyone stood up to wish the couple all the happiness in the world. Some also told stories for a great laugh! The bride and groom had such loving family and friends. Neal Urban Studio felt ourselves tearing up at times!
Fast forward to after dinner and turn up the music! Drinks and shots were flowing and the party was in full effect. For a rehearsal event that was only going to be about 3 hours, they sure knew how to party. More shots, more dancing until it was dark out! Vivian and Eric’s rehearsal was such a great welcome party to all of the guests! Time to get some rest for the wedding day!
